Scottish fabricator CMS Enviro Systems has added to an already impressive list of credentials by achieving a BFRC ‘A’ window energy rating with BM TRADA Certification for its range of PVCu window products.

In addition to quality and environmental management certification to ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 140001:2004 respectively, audited annually by BM TRADA, the company holds the BM TRADA Q-Mark for enhanced security windows and doors, underpinned by BS 7412, BS 7950 and PAS 23/24. This has enabled CMS, based in Cumbernauld near Glasgow, to achieve Secured by Design recognition.

And according to Sales Director Dave MacGregor, ‘ We take environmental concerns very seriously. We are now able to give our customers the opportunity to purchase energy rated products which are Energy Saving Trust-recommended. End users therefore have the opportunity to save money on fuel bills, while at the same time reducing their carbon footprint.’

The company’s commitment to sustainability within their business model has been rewarded by winning a Fife Green Business Award 2009, under the Best Green Business for Waste category, ahead of major contenders such as Sky Subscriber Services and NHS Fife.

It has also fought off tough competition from Kwik Fit Insurance Services and Controlled Therapeutics (Scotland) to secure first place at this year’s Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards for Best Performing Business (26 people and over).
